Man Pleads Guilty to $56,000 TCD Robbery
At this morning’s [Apr.1] Supreme Court arraignment session a man pleaded guilty to stealing in excess of $56,000 of money from a security guard outside the Transport Control Department [TCD] in November 2010.
22-year-old Tashon Alvin Bean pleaded guilty to a charge of committing a robbery on 12th November 2010, during which he robbed a government worker.
Mr Bean, who is alleged to have acted with another person not before the courts, was remanded in custody, ordered to submit to a Social Inquiry Report, and re-appear for mention on 2nd May 2011.
On the day of the robbery, a Police spokesman said, “Around 4:45pm on Friday, Police responded to a reported robbery that took place in the Transport Control Department (TCD) parking lot in Pembroke. It appears that a security guard was accosted by an unknown man who took a bag containing a quantity of cash and attempted to make good his escape.
