Six Videos: 2011 Peppercorn Ceremony

As has happened for almost 200 years, the annual Peppercorn Ceremony took place in St George’s this morning [Apr.27]. It began in 1816, and is marked by pomp, circumstance and pageantry, with the Governor accepting the annual peppercorn rent paid by Freemasons for use of the State House.
