AuclairRe Appoints Rory Young As Senior VP
Reinsurance intermediary firm AuclairRe International, Inc. — which provides specialised structured, retrocessional and loss portfolio placements in the Bermuda and US marketplaces — has announced the expansion of its reinsurance practice with the addition of Rory Young ]pictured] as senior vice president, Life Accident & Health.
AuclairRe also maintains traditional reinsurance capacity in the Bermuda, US, Lloyds, European, Asian and Canadian markets.
Mr. Young, formerly director of business development at The Network in Norcross, Georgia, and reinsurance intermediary, Life Accident & Health with Gallagher Re, Inc. in Atlanta, has been named reinsurance intermediary, effective immediately.
Headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey, AuclairRe offers traditional reinsurance intermediary services as well as reinsurance and insurance consulting, underwriting, actuarial, claims audit and captive management services to Life A&H insurance & reinsurance companies and property and casualty insurance and reinsurance companies worldwide.
Mr. Young, who will be based in Atlanta, brings more than 18 years of industry experience in various reinsurance, group insurance marketing and product development functions.
In his new position, he will be responsible for developing new business as well as maintaining existing customer relationships.

Mr. Young’s experience includes eight years as a reinsurance intermediary, and prior experience at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, Reliance National Insurance Company and ITA Partners.
Mr. Young holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University.
