Centralized Online Golf Booking Website

May 18, 2011

The Bermuda Department of Tourism has partnered with Bermuda Premier Golf to offer a new centralized tee time system online.

Bermudapremiergolf.com allows the potential golfer to select the golf course, tee times, number of players and pay securely online with either Visa, Mastercard or AMEX. Each participant receives a tee time voucher by email which is encoded with a unique barcode to eliminate fraud.

Each tee time voucher is presented to the golf course on the day of play. Golfers can use the system to have their tee times booked in advance to ensure they can play the courses they want when they want. Golfers can also search the site by course name, tee times by date and review all details including course descriptions, pictures and videos.

“We are committed to doing everything possible to make the visitor experience to Bermuda as user-friendly as possible,” said Patrice Minors, Minister of Business Development and Tourism. “We feel this new system will help further cement an already outstanding reputation for being one of the world’s most desirable golf destinations.”

Bermuda is said to contain more golf courses per square mile than anywhere else in the world.

Well…good idea but when you launch something make sure it is done properly..

a picture of Southampton is used for every golf course
price does not say if it includes a golf cart or not
plus there is a 10% service fee so why should I book on line???/ so to book a 4 some i’m paying $72 extra

That looks like Port Royal not Southampton Princess. This is long overdue and is not designed for locals anyway. You have to take into consideration the cruise ship passengers that are internet savvy. A service is expected in today’s electronic age and it will cost less than booking through a crusie ship agent Or a phone call.

BEG TO DIFFER… one phone call..5minutes is $5 not $72 extra for a foursome…and if you go down to the different courses offered the picture is all of Faimont princess….

Do you realize that the cruise ships charge far more than that? I would guess not. Cc fees are high and expenses need to be covered. If you have a business traveller that decides he wants to play golf at the last minute, he can quickly go onto this site and book. Can’t call at night. Price you pay for convenience. Stop being so negatative. I am surprised given that you are a golf professional. And besides, times your $5 by three calls, especially to Riddell’s Bay where no one answers the damn phone.

    This a great idea.

When is the ministry going to develop online restaurant health report postings?

Every restaurant in Bermuda should be required to post the most recent food safety inspection report online and near the main entrance to the establishment.

Sorry that is an $18 per person service fee???

  4. Hi Guys,

Thanks for the support, very proud to have a Bermuda built technology system for tee times and participate in promoting tourism in Bermuda. :)

Andrew – I’ve fixed the thumbnail images on the front page, was just getting the final imagery in place.

On the service fee, some courses are charging this and some aren’t. The fee covers all the costs to operate the system (i.e. bank credit card fees, etc..).

I’ll pop by your bar one day to chat further to see if you have any other feedback.
