Photos: 2011 Portugal Day at Victoria Park

Hundreds of people made their way to Victoria Park today [June 11] to celebrate both Portugal Day and the island’s Portuguese connections. The Ministry of Cultural Affairs in collaboration with the Vasco Da Gama Club put on the event, which forms part of the Ministry’s Historical Heartbeats Series and was entitled “Portugal Day – From the Azores to Bermuda”.       Portuguese is Portuguese. It doesn’t matter if they’re calling it Portugal day, if you’re Portuguese, you could have still went. When World Cup comes around do you not cheer for Portugal?

      With that being said, I wish I knew about this, I would have like to attend
