Shelly Bay Disturbance: No Formal Complaint
Police confirmed this evening that they responded to a reported disturbance at the Hamilton Parish Majorette & Gombey Extravaganza last night [June 4] at the Shelly Bay Field, however on their arrival there was no disturbance taking place and no one wished to make a formal complaint.
Bernews unofficially understands that a physical altercation may have broken out amongst a small number of spectators. After their arrival, the Police maintained watch over the remaining portion of the event.
A Police spokesman said, “Around 9:15pm on Saturday, Police responded to a reported disturbance at the Majorette Competition held at Shelly Bay Field in Hamilton parish. However, on arrival there was no disturbance taking place and no one wished to make a formal complaint.”
