West Win Under/11 Cricket All-Star Match
The West won the under/11 All-Star Cricket Match held this morning [June 4] at the National Sports Center in Devonshire.
The Under 11 East won the toss and elected to bat, they were restricted to 73/9 in their allotted 20 overs, Robert Turnbull was the top scorer with 17, Zuhri Burgess added 14, while Iyuan Smith scored 11 and Xavier O’Connor was 10 not out when the innings closed. Sean Tucker was the pick of the Under 11 West bowlers when he finished with figures of 2-0-4-3, Jaiden Manders bowled 2-0-10-2.
In reply the Under 11 West All-Stars scored 74/5, D’Andre Wainwright was the top scorer with 24, Dalin Richardson added 14 not out, while both T’Zare Gibson and Manders scored 10. Turnbull had bowling figures of 1-0-4-1, while Smith bowled 1-0-9-0. Final score: Under 11 East 73/9 Under 11 West 74/5
With the East vs West match completed, the 2011 Hiscox Celebrity Cricket Match is now underway, with Minister Glenn Blakeney, Attorney General Michael Scott, Minister Kim Wilson, Minister Zane DeSilva, Minister Michael Weeks, Bruce Barritt, Power Girl, Nadanja Bailey, Gavin Djata Smith, Teresa Perozzi and many others participating.
