Bermuda Flag At Lion Clubs Seattle Parade
The Bermuda flag could be seen in Seattle,Washington today [July 5] as the New York State and Bermuda Lions Foundation took part in the Lions Club 94th International Convention, where as many as 20,000 Lions members and their families are expected to attend.
Thousands of American and international members of the Lions Club marched through Seattle, Washington this morning. Before the parade, Lions Club International spokesman Dane La Joye said more than 12,000 Lions had already registered for the convention and another 2,500 are likely to sign in after registration reopens Monday.
The Lions Club is well known for the programs they have to assist the blind, and the Ohio State School for the Blind marching band — the only American high-school marching band made up of blind students — lead the parade. Last year Sydney, Australia, hosted the event.
