Women’s Football: Bermuda Lose 5-1 To T&T

July 5, 2011

The Bermuda Women’s Football team lost their first game in the preliminary competition of the CONCACAF Caribbean Zone in the Dominican Republic.

Bermuda’s lone goal came in the 25th minute courtesy of  Tschana Wade, and the game ended at 5-1 in favour of Trinidad & Tobago.

Bermuda Football Association’s Youth Director Devarr Boyles said, “The ladies performed below their standards while never giving up in extremely humid conditions. The solution for them is to continue to believe in their abilities while maintaining a winners mentality. A special mention must go to Cheyra Bell, goalkeeper Kimmisha Perinchief, Ebonie Burgess and Waynesha Bean.”
