Endurance Q2 Net Income: $41 Million
Bermuda based re/insurer Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd.reported net income of $41.1 million and $0.87 per diluted common share for the second quarter of 2011 versus net income of $58.6 million and $0.97 per diluted common share in the second quarter of 2010.
For the six months ended June 30, 2011, Endurance reported a net loss of $46.3 million and $1.36 per diluted common share versus net income of $114.4 million and $1.88 per diluted common share for the six months ended June 30, 2010. Book value per diluted share was $52.20 at June 30, 2011, an increase of 1.3% for the quarter and 9.3% for the last twelve months.
