ISL All Star Teams Announced

The 2011 Lindo’s ISL All Stars were announced on Thursday [July 7] during the Lindo’s ISL show on Islandstats.com. The League’s top two goal scorers headline the list of the players that will take on the MISL All Stars at National Sports Centre on Sunday August 7th.

The Knights, Union, and Arsenal all placed three players on the team. The Apex placed two players in the game while the Kings, Royal, Storm, and Titans all had one representative each. Knights Coach Keishon Smith and Arsenal Assistant Coach Don Vickers will coach the ISL All Stars [Arsenal Head Coach John Barry Nusum is playing for the MISL All Stars].

Robinson was this year’s Lindo’s ISL leading goal scorer with 16 goals on the season. Lee played in just four of the six regular season games, but still tallied 15 goals on the season including a Lindo’s ISL record seven goals in the Union’s final match of the season against the Royal.

The MISL All Stars are led by Hewerton Moreira, and Rhicardino who dazzled the crowd with their skill in last year’s match. The MISL will also have newcomers Byron Alvarez, who won the MISL scoring title with 80 points last year, and skillful defender Jonathan Greenfield. The MISL squad will once again be coached by Baltimore Blast Head Coach Danny Kelly. A complete list of All Stars for both squads is listed at the bottom.

Tickets are now on sale for this year’s Clash on the Rock, and can be purchased for $10 at all Lindo’s and Sidekicks locations. They can also be purchased at the International Sports Store, the BFA and the Pro Shop. 2011 Lindo’s ISL schedules are free and available at all ticket locations.
