Khano Smith Scores Twice As Hogges Draw

khano smith hoggesThe Bermuda Hogges met up with the Central Jersey Spartans at the BAA field last night [July 21] and the game ended with a 3-3 draw.

The Bermuda Hogges had a two goal lead to the beginning of the game, and ended up needing a penalty converted by Khano Smith in the final minute to earn the draw.

Keishen Bean gave the Bermuda Hogges the lead in the 14th minute with Khano Smith picking up the assist, who then doubled the lead in the 21st minute to put the Hogges up 2-0.

Kyle McCarthy pulled a goal back for the Central Jersey Spartans when he scored from just inside the box in the 23nd minute. One minute before the break the Spartans scored again to make the game 2-2.

It was not until the 78th minute that the Spartans took the lead when Gregory Cochrane scored to make the game 3-2 in favour of the visitors.

In the final minute Lashun Dill – who was only on the field for five minutes – was brought down and Khano Smith stepped up to convert the penalty and earn the Hogges a 3–3 draw.
