July 5, 2011

Minister for Economy, Trade and Industry Kim Wilson wishes to inform the public that the recent strike action by Canadian postal workers has ended and the airlines have resumed delivery of mail between Bermuda and Canada. All mail that was held in Bermuda as a result of the recent strike has now been forwarded to Canada for delivery.

A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Post Office thanked the public for its patience during the recent strike action and apologized for any minor delays as the backlog of international mail between Bermuda and Canada is cleared and the Canadian mail delivery returns to normal.”

Mail delivery to Canada was suspended on June 21, 2011.
