Tourism iPhone App Downloaded 1,900 Times
During yesterday’s [July 20] report by Minister of Business Development and Tourism Patrice Minors on tourism statistics for the first six months of 2011, the Minister said their new app has been downloaded 1,900 times.
“I am happy to report that in the five weeks since launching the app it has been downloaded by more than 1,900 consumers. This is a very positive sign and is in keeping with the good news we are experiencing online with our new website,” said the Minister.
The apps features include: a detailed map with built-in location finder, search for specific attractions, activities and places, browse with filters to find just what you’re looking for get, addresses, map locations and travel distances, sort by proximity or view in alphabetical order, find phone numbers and tap to call, save your favorite places for quick reference and share via Facebook, Twitter and email.
Go Explore, a new local company under The Ultra Concepts Group of Companies, has also launched a Bermuda tourism related app. Their new iPhone and Android mobile application, the “Go Explore Bermuda”, is available for free download.
