“Go Explore Bermuda” Launches App
Go Explore, a new local company under The Ultra Concepts Group of Companies, has launched a new iPhone and Android mobile application, the “Go Explore Bermuda”.
The free app, developed and built by BarZ Adventures Inc., is a location based multimedia electronic tour guide system compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and Droid Smartphone operating systems.
A spokesperson said, “It is predicted that 1 in 2 Americans or 150 million will own a smartphone by the end 2011 [The Nielsen Company]. Taking this into account we can conclude that 60% will own either a iphone or Android OS phone.”
“This market will continue to grow and Go Explore is here to capture this market to support local businesses and tourism. Go Explore Bermuda, is Bermuda’s first all-inclusive mobile guide to paradise!”
“This new generation of tourists expect information to be available on-demand and in the palm of their hand,” said Michael Brangman, Sales & Development Manager for Ultra Concepts Group.
“This is the first of its kind to enter the market and we believe it will significantly contribute to the economic well being of Bermudian businesses while enhancing Bermuda’s tourism product.”

Timely App. Great App. Thanks Bernews for this. Bermuda Tourism has an App, but I believe Go Explore has video and audio tours for our Bermuda visitors and other features. Download it and see for yourself, I did.
Glad to see local firms taking initiative an to see Bermuda is on its APP Game. love it.
They are similar but the go explore bermuda app looks much better and does so much more. There are photos of everything as well as audio and video tours among other enhancements. So while they are similar they are leagues apart.
