Akeyla Furbert’s WNBA Experience In Arizona
Fuzion Athlete Management and Hope4Life hosted Akeyla Furbert and her family for a weekend WNBA experience in Phoenix, Arizona recently.
Akeyla was selected from an open run in May 2011, where Fuzion CEO Quency Phillips selected her out of a pool of basketball players.
She was flown to Phoenix and was on-hand to observe the Phoenix Mercury team shoot-around, meet with the entire team and staff [including women’s Hall of Famer Annie Meyers], and enjoyed a post-game experience with the players.

She received autographs from her favorite players, such as WNBA star Diana Taurasi, received photographs of the players, took pictures with the team and was treated to a birthday dinner and autographed ball signed by the entire team and gifted through surprise visitor and former Minister of National Security Colonel David Burch and Bermudian football legend David Bascome. The weekend coincided with Akeyla Furbert turning 17 years old on September 4th.
