Antonio Myers Jailed For 38 Years
26-year-old Antonio Myers was sentenced today [Sept.23] to life in prison for the murder of Kumi Harford. The Judge directed he must serve minimum of 38 years before he can be considered for parole.
30-year-old Kumi Harford was killed at around 5am on St. Monica’s Road on December 5th, 2009, when a hail of bullets struck his car as he was driving home. Antonio Myers was arrested in 2010 in connection with the murder, and convicted in March 2011.
During the trial, a Police officer claimed Mr Harford was a high ranking member of 42, and Antonio Myers was a high-ranking member of Middletown.
Dr Cumberland, the forensic pathologist who performed the autopsy, said Mr Harford suffered several gunshot wounds but that his death was caused, principally, by four particular gun shot wounds.
An expert testified that evidence determined that two shooters were involved and that two guns were involved; one a 9mm pistol and the other was a 40 calibre weapon. Mr Myers is the only person convicted thus far.
Experts said the two guns used to kill Kumi Harford were “Parkside weapons,” and were used in a number of shootings including the murders of Perry Puckerin, Shane Minors, Kenwandee “Wheels” Robinson, and Freddy Maybury; and the attempted murders of people including Michael Adams, Daniel Cox, and Jakai Harford – Kumi Harford’s brother.
Mr Myers will be eligible for release in 2049 when he is 64 years old.

If you want to lend real support, visit him in Prison and help him turn his life around. Woek with his family who are left to watch a loved one wither away in prison. Work with those who are still caught up in this destructive life style. Of course, you won’t do any of that though because that would be real support. The kind that comes at a personal sacrifice.

Hats off too the system of law finally being enforced to the maximum. Thanks to the Judge who has the guts to apply it. This is the message that needs to be sent to these fools for their stupid activities. Its time we take back Bermuda. As for his gang members… It would be interesting to see how many actually come to visit him.
But at least he will have plenty of time alone time to reflect on how good it was to be a gang member and how close his boys were.. LOL..

Archie is not a Supreme Court Judge – he’s only a Magistrate – meaning he can never preside over cases which require judge and jury.

You are so right, each one of those prisoners cost the tax payer over 90K a year to house. I have been saying it for years, put them to work. There so many things that they can do in this island to truly pay off their debt to society!!!!
The sad part is it will be at the murder victims families expense. Not to mention in 20 yrs or less, Kumi’s son will be working to support his disrespectuful behind… He has no respect for anyone, and he don’t care who sees or gets hurt. And those that support this outrageous behaviour need to be checked too! Karma is a thing that ppl shouldn’t take lightly. His only up for that one! I had a fear from him since he was only 10. That’s right. His school teachers new how dangerous he was,and Im talking primary level, oh and yes even behind bars. One thing he won’t talk, even if 50 years. He is a soldier.
