Sean Trott & Deon Breary Win Labour Day Race
[Updated with full results/video] This morning [Sept.5] Sean Trott and Deon Breary won the 2011 Labour Day race, while Sinclair Smith was the first walker across the line. The annual race starts and begins from Union Square in Hamilton, kicking off the day’s Labour Day celebrations. We will update with full results and footage later today.
Mr Trott crossed the line clocking a time of 26:48, while Ms Breary finished in a time of 33:45. Teenager Juma Mouchette was second in a time of 30:48, while William Wood finished third in 32:09. Christina Dotson was the second female finisher in 36:12, while Carla Colbourne was the third female finisher clocking 38:10. Jahmari Sutton won the Junior 1.5 Mile Race.
Update: Post-race interview with Sean Trott and Deon Breary. Ms Breary said the “heat was challenging, but she ran a comfortable race.” Mr Trott said he was “bringing up a little but during the last half mile.”
