Southampton Traffic Delays Due To Pole Fire

There are temporary traffic delays in the Southampton area this afternoon [Sept.2], as police are diverting traffic due to BELCO being on scene dealing with a pole fire.

At 2:50pm a police spokesperson said, “There is currently a utility pole on fire in the area of Middle Road and Camp Hill in Southampton. BELCO is at the scene dealing with the matter; however as a result police officers are diverting traffic away from the scene (alternate routes: Camp Hill or Scenic Heights Pass).”

“At this time only buses are being allowed along that section of Middle Road. We will update when regular traffic flow can resume.”
