Bermuda Welcomed Into The IWF
Premier Paula Cox has announced that Bermuda has been officially inducted into the International Women’s Forum [IWF] and has been invited to form a Chapter on island.
Premier Cox was is in Washington DC this week, attending the high level forum and is leading a delegation of local Bermudian women including Grace Shelton, Dame Jennifer Smith, Patricia Gordon-Pamplin, Louise Jackson, Judith Hall-Bean, Beverle Lottimore, Cheryl Packwood, Pamela Ferreira , Renee Webb, Dana Cooper, Allison Hill and Vicki Coelho.
The next steps in the process of forming the Bermuda IWF Chapter will see a group of 60 members of the IWF Board visit the island in January.
Premier Cox said, “Bermuda is fully represented by a stellar group of women from both the private and public sector. And it was tremendously gratifying when we were formally inducted as a member. To share this auspicious occasion with those Bermudian women who are here with me was very special.
“The IWF Board was robust in their support, impressed by our support and attendance and many indicated that they looked forward to visiting Bermuda in January.”
The International Women’s Forum concluded yesterday [Oct.28]. The trip was personally funded by each participant.
