Cricket: Bermuda Lose To MCC

Playing yesterday [Oct.2] at the Sea Breeze Oval, with a game reduced to a 30 over match, MCC batted first and scored 253/4 in their allotted 30 overs.

Craig DeWeymarn was their top scorer with 77, while Josh Knapett was on 49 not out and Chris Thompson added 32. Former Bermuda Captain Irving Romaine bowled 1-0-12-1, while Lateef Trott bowled 6-0-51-1.

In reply Bermuda was restricted to 189/8 in their allotted 30 overs, Jason Anderson and Fiqre Crockwell shared a 76 run opening partnership, with Anderson Bermuda’s top scorer with 55, while Crockwell scored 43 and captain David Hemp added 41. Richard Gilbert led the MCC bowling attack with figures of 6-0-32-5, while Andrew Birley bowled 5-0-35-1. Final score: MCC 253/4 Bermuda 189/8
