Premier Division Football Results
A number of Premier Division football games took place across the island yesterday [Oct.2], the results follow below:
St. George’s Colts 2 Dandy Town 3
At the Wellington Oval, Raymond Beach gave the Dandy Town Hornets a 1 – 0 lead in the 37th minute, Jamel Swan doubled the lead in the 50th minute before Allan Douglas Jr. pulled a goal back for the St. George’s Colts in the 55th minute. Shaun Brown restored the Dandy Town Hornets two goal lead with a strike in the 81st minute, but Clay Darrell made it a one goal game in the 85th minute, neither team could find the net again as the Dandy Town Hornets walked away with a 3 – 2 win.
Devonshire Cougars 1 Somerset Trojans 0
After a scoreless first half at the Devonshire Rec. Jamie Smith scored in the 70th minute to give the Devonshire Cougars a 1 – 0 win over the Somerset Trojans.
Southampton Rangers 1 Robin Hood 1
At the Southampton Oval, just when it would appear that this game would end in a scoreless draw David Outerbridge scored for visiting Robin Hood in the 89th minute and then when it looked as if the visitors would win Ijahmon Mallory scored through a maze of players in the 89th minute to equalize for the Southampton Rangers as the two teams shared the points.
St. David’s 0 PHC Zebras 3
At Lord’s in St. David’s, Aquino Grant gave the PHC Zebras the lead in the 24th minute, Antwan Russell doubled the lead in the 27th minute and when Grant scored his second goal of the game in the 63rd minute it sealed a 3 – 0 win for the PHC Zebras over St. David’s.
