November 10, 2011

In Magistrates Court yesterday morning [Nov.9] Hamilton Parish resident, 47-year-old Matthew Graham Taylor pleaded guilty to a charge of driving whilst his ability to drive was impaired by either alcohol or drugs.

The charge came out of a single vehicle accident on Jennings Road in Hamilton Parish. The Prosecutor’s evidence was that Police attended an accident and found Mr Taylor lying on the road next to a car.

On getting to his feet, Police noticed that he smelled of alcohol and was bleeding from cuts to his hand. Police called an ambulance and EMT’s arrived and took Mr Taylor to KEMH where he received medical attention.

Magistrate Warner fined Mr Taylor $1,000 and disqualified him from driving all motor vehicles for twelve months.
