Bermuda Rowers Win Bronze Medal
Michael Swain and Ryan Worth competed in the biggest rowing event in North America the Head of the Hooch, where the pair picked up a Bronze medal.
Swain’s main event was in the Men’s Master 4x, Worth, Swain, Mike Schay and Anders Holmberg won the Bronze Medal with a time of 16:05.0.
“We were fastest down the course but we won the Bronze Medal due to age handicapping. I then entered the double (two men) and the single,” said Swain.
“Getting the fastest time in the quad pretty much blew out my energy reserve,” continued Swain, in the Men’s Master C-D 1x, Swain finished 16th in the time of 19:47.1.
Swain said, “We were delighted with the achievement of the fastest time in such a large and prestigious event. The crew could not train together so the result meant even more to us; it usually takes months before a crew really gets timing and coordination precise.”

Not any more. By numbers of athletes – the Head of the Hooch takes it. I have competed in both and thay are wonderful events. True, the HoH does ot have national squads competing but more athletes.
