Police Caution: Slick Roads In Hamilton
This morning [Nov.30] the Police advised motorists to use caution on certain Hamilton roads as they are “reportedly slick due to an oily road surface after the rain we had overnight.”
A police spokesperson said, “Police would like to advise the motoring public to use caution on the roads this morning, in particular in the following City of Hamilton areas: At the junction of Burnaby Street and Church Street. On Victoria Street behind City Hall. These areas are reportedly slick due to an oily road surface after the rain we had overnight.”
So true…and I might add, all over Bda as well due to the very light rain and oil build up…drive with care and less speed.
You sure it’s not due to a trail of slippery stuff left behind by someone back on the island for a clandestine visit?
After reading the headline, I burst into a fit of laughter! So, the roads are only slick in Hamilton???
OK, so there is a little oil on the road raised by the rain. Big deal! Imagine if Bermudians had a bit of ice or packed snow to drive on! It would be mayhem on wheels. A demolition derby.
