Police Name Accident Victim: Landro Minors

The Police have named the man who died last night after a road accident as Landro Minors.

Around 9:45pm last night [Nov.1] Mr Minors was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in which his bike collided with a wall. He was rushed to the hospital via ambulance where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries.”

A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 27 year old Landro Minors of St. George’s. Around 9:45pm on Tuesday, November 1st Mr. Minors was riding a motorcycle along Middle Road in Smith’s parish near the junction with Clarendon Road, in the vicinity of Whitney Institute Middle School, when he was seriously injured after colliding with a wall.

“He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance where he was subsequently pronounced dead at 10:15pm by an on call physician. Traffic was diverted away from the scene while collision investigators conducted inquiries. The investigation into this fatal collision is ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Tyrone Fox of the Roads Policing Unit on 247-1788. The Bermuda Police Service extends condolences to the family & friends of Mr. Minors.”

Mr Minors was an exceptional athlete, who excelled in both cricket and football. He played Premier Division Football and Premier Division Cricket for St. David’s Cricket Club. He also made a Cup Match appearance for St. George’s Cricket Club in 2009 scoring 21 total runs, this came two weeks after he scored 127 not out against Flatts Victoria in an Eastern County match.

    Just dont add up….. his bike didnt do more then 60kph… roads r wet… where his bike was found n where he was laying… n the POLICE where the 1st ones on the scene…. RIP DRO
