Tomorrow: Bermuda Gymnastics Meet
Tomorrow [Nov.12] the Bermuda Gymnastics Association will host an in-house meet at 2:30 pm in St Davids, which will see over 25 young gymnasts show off their skills.
A Bermuda Gymnastics Association spokesperson said, “At 2:30 pm, our national squad will be competing in an in-house meet, testing out their routines for the 2011-2012 competitive season.”
“The team is made up of 26 girls age 8-16 from all over the island. They are currently preparing for a December 2nd competition in Boston and are eager to try out the new skills they have learned since July’s Island Games, where our team earned 26 medals including a team gold. In addition to the girls, we hope to have members of our up-and-coming boys squad demonstrating their skills.”
“Although the gymnasts will provide plenty of high flying action, we will also be showing off our updated training center. This fall we took on a major project of adding an in-ground foam pit and we are ready to unveil it! This project was only possible with the support of both the gymnastics family and many members of the Bermuda community; we can’t wait for everyone to see how their hard work and support have paid off.”
