December 22, 2011

The 59th Bermuda Goodwill concluded with the team from Lambton Golf and Country Club “C” of Canada dominating the senior gross and net divisions.

Lambton “C” was led by professional Matthew Yustin, with his club amateurs Mark Keuleman, Mark McCallum and Tim Macklaier.

They captured the overall Net Title in the Senior Division and even outplayed their junior opponents posting a remarkable over all total of 46 under par net after four rounds of golf.

As a result of a great week of golf, Lambton GCC “C” were crowned The Bermuda Goodwill Net Champions. The team will be invited to return for the 2012 Bermuda Goodwill to defend their title against a field that is anticipated to top 100 teams.

Under the leadership of Bermuda Goodwill owners and event directors To A Tee Bermuda, 2012 will see the tournament celebrate 60 years of continued success.

“A revised tournament structure will be implemented that will see a new Tournament chairman leading the charge to make the tournament the best ever,” said a Goodwill spokesman. “A significant marketing and promotional campaign, assisted by the Bermuda Department of Tourism, will ensure that the 2012 Bermuda Goodwill will be a success as a signature event on the sports tourism calendar.”
