Importing Heroin: Not Guilty Plea

Four men, all charged with being involved in a conspiracy to import heroin, appeared at the first arraignment session of 2012 this morning [Jan.3]. All four pleaded not guilty.

The charge was that between a date unknown and 2nd June 2011, they had conspired to import a quantity of heroin. The four were: Warwick resident Lorenzo Wayne Lottimore 32; Hamilton parish resident David Ryan Carroll, 31; Paget resident Craig Damian Hatherley, 26; and St Georgian Loren Lamar Marshall, 25.

Mr Carroll was separately charged with conspiring to import a quantity of cannabis between a date unknown and 9th January 2011.

The four men are represented by lawyers Victoria Pearman, Elizabeth Christopher, Larry Mussenden, and Charles Richardson. The four will remain free on bail and must return for mention on 1st February 2012.

Also appearing in this morning’s session were the “CareFree Five” of Kwesi Kenyatta Hollis, Shaun Johnson, Carlos Shabion Rogers, Bilal Talib Shakir, and Kinole Jovelle Simons appeared and were given a trial date of 12 March 2012. The five are facing charges involving a conspiracy to import a over $3 million worth of cannabis.
