Barnes Sisters Meet In Maine Event
Rachel Barnes and her Bowdoin College Women’s Squash teammates enjoyed its most productive weekend of the season, picking up four wins in six matches at the Maine Event hosted at the Lubin Center.
Barnes had four wins, one of the wins saw Rachel Barnes take on her sister Kelly Barnes who plays for George Washington University.
Rachel Barnes’ Bowdoin College defeated Kelly Barnes’ George Washington University 5 – 4.
Rachel defeated Kelly in straight sets playing in the number 2 spot 11 – 4, 11 – 7, 12 – 10.
Kelly Barnes and her No. 14 George Washington Women’s Squash teammates opened the Maine Round Robin with a 9-0 win over No. 23 Tufts, but was unable to continue the momentum, suffering its third straight loss against Bowdoin at Lubin Squash Center.
