Furbert: Spring Break Itinerary

January 19, 2012

The Bermuda Department of Tourism is providing North American students with a full-fledged party itinerary for Spring Break 2012.

Released yesterday [Jan. 18], Bermuda Spring Break offers special hotel deals and island-wide events in February and March for students looking for an escape from their university studies and let loose on the island.

Partygoers and beach lovers can enjoy accommodations at Bermuda’s Coco Reef Resort for only $79.99 per night, based on double occupancy. Set in luscious tropical gardens overlooking a beautiful beach, Coco Reef Resort is the prime party spot for spring break crowds. Additionally, there will be a week of exciting day and night Spring Break events for all visiting students.

Highlighted Spring Break events include: Welcome Swizzle Reception at Coco Reef Resort; “Party on the Rock” at Horseshoe Bay; Pink Fever Party at the Deep; “Dark n Stormy” Night at The Cellar; “Beer Fest” at Docksiders, Coco Reef Beach Barbecue and a Spring Break party cruise.

According to Minister of Business Development and Tourism Wayne Furvert, Bermuda is ready to compete for the lucrative Spring Break market and offers several competitive advantages.

“We have put together a very engaging programme to entice students, and our close proximity and competitive pricing at Coco Reef will be a definite attraction,” said Minister Furbert. “We want to encourage the notion that our island is an incredible place to relax and unwind with friends.”

To all those people who complain, criticize and do nothing but make non-helpful comments when we are attracting tourist. God forbid this country does something different or goes against the norm or status quo….Good Job Tourism for finally doing some different than you always do. Great video!
