Mussenden & Sabir On CFU Committees
Two Bermudians have been named to the Caribbean Football Union’s [CFU] Committees, with Larry Mussenden to serve as the Chairman of the CFU Legal Committee, and David Sabir will serve on the CFU Football Committee.
The Football Committee will be responsible for drafting a development plan for the CFU for the period 2012 – 2015 and conducting a review of the CFU competitions format. The other members include: Gordon Derrick (Antigua-Barbuda) Rufo Kelly (Aruba), Alain Soreze (Guadeloupe), Carlo Marcelin (Haiti), and Maurice Victoire (Martinique).
Mr. Mussenden, who is President of the Bermuda Football Association, will serve as the Chairman of the CFU Legal Committee whose main focus will be to conduct a review of the CFU statutes and the incorporation of the CFU in a jurisdiction within the Caribbean.
The other members of the Legal Task Force are Hally Haynes (Barbados), Bruce Blake (Cayman Islands), Osiris Guzman (Dominican Republic), Emmanuel Cantave (Haiti), Horace Reid (Jamaica) and Anthony Johnson (St. Kitts-Nevis).
The CFU was founded in 1978, and is the Region’s governing football body with 30 countries comprising its membership.
Okay, enough already!!! When is Mussenden going to tell us what he plans to do to improve football in Bermuda?
The lack of real interest displayed by lazy, super disengaged administrators in our sporting clubs has allowed Mussenden & Co to once again ignore his local duties. He is been alloed to chart his self serving course in CONCACAF, almost applauded for it…
In addition you have VP Blankendal constantly in the news regarding his BFA competing football program and both are yet to provide the footballing public a glimpse of the BFA’s 1,2,3,4 or 5 year plan. Heck at this rate I would accept a 5 day plan.
Wow!!!!
You have yet to answer the question of “who is us”. Some of us already have the plan or have taken the time to get it.
