BIFF’s Oscars Red Carpet Gala

February 21, 2012

… And the winner could be you at the Bermuda International Film Festival’s Oscars party on Sunday [Feb.26]

BIFF, now in its 15th year and considered one of the world’s leading independent film festivals, has teamed with MEF to bring you a night of glitz, glamour and film at the “2012 Live From the Red Carpet” affair.

The gala event is being held at The Deep restaurant at the Elbow Beach hotel on the night of the 84th Academy Awards.

The awards will be broadcast live from Los Angeles in The Deep — and guests will be eligible to win prizes along with the evening’s
A-list Hollywood nominees. Awards will be handed out to winners of Oscar trivia competitions, a best — and worst — dressed contest and more.

The event starts at 7.30pm to allow guests to catch footage of the celebrities themselves arriving at the Oscars at 8pm local time.

Tickets are still available priced at $25. They can be purchased on-line here.

Callee Frith, BIFF’s Special Events Director, said: “With just over a month to go to the Bermuda International Film Festival, we want to get movie fans in the mood for some serious cinema-going pleasure with this warm-up weekender.
