Diamond Jubilee Commemorative Stamp
The Bermuda Philatelic Bureau announced the release of the Diamond Jubilee commemorative stamp series, which will be available today [Feb.9].
According to Philatelic Coordinator, Mr. Stanley Taylor, the series consists of six stamps featuring a unique blend of official portraits and informal photographs, one from each decade of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, who celebrated 60 years as Sovereign, on February 6th 2012; a milestone only ever reached by Queen Victoria.
The 2012 Diamond Jubilee sheetlet documents both the public and the private life of the Monarch.
This release represents the Bermuda Post Office’s first commemorative stamp issue for the year. The collection continues the Bermuda Post Office’s efforts to portray all facets of Bermuda’s heritage, culture and history. The stamps are available in values of 0.10c, 0.35c, 0.70c, 0.85c, $1.10 and $1.25.

Orders may be pre-paid for collection or mailing on the day of issue at the General Post Office or any sub-Post Office.
The next stamp issue will commemorate 200th anniversary of Postal Service release 18th April, 2012.
