The grass sidewalk on the N side of S Road at the roundabout is overgrown by trees, so everyone has to walk in the road. It has been this way for a long time.
It’s ludicrous that this is not kept up. It’s in Bermuda’s interest for more people to walk to work … but little effort is expended to make that possible.
It should be managed by works and engineering or the parks dept. If thats the case
Hope she makes a full recovery.
As well as the young boy.
I hope both the lady & boy get better soon.
This is my biggest fear here as I see this as more of a threat to my children than all the shootings going on. People need to manage their lives better & stop speeding around in their vehicles. Children & adults have the right to walk, run, jog & ride there pedal bikes on public roads. Drivers & riders of motor vehicles only have the privilege to be on the roads. Speeding or being on their mobile devices is an abuse of that privilege. These people need to stop being so selfish & appreciate the luxury their allowed.
South Rd would be a lot safer if people didn’t insist on trying to make 80 mph and overtake on every blind corner. Hope the lady makes a full recovery.
