Rugby Team Wins Again In Vegas
Bermuda played a 15-a-side match against the Littleton Eagles from Colorado in Las Vegas on Saturday [Feb.11], winning the match 29-24.
Assistant Coach/Manager David Crofts said, “The boys had a good quality 15s match today (Sat) versus Littleton Eagles from Colorado. Bermuda scored for an early lead but by mid way through the 2nd half they had fallen behind 24-10.
“The Bermuda team showed some real character and started a fightback with successive converted tries to level the scores. Desperate final minutes ended with a try in the corner by Bermuda for a 29-24 victory on the whistle.
“Both sides played the match in great spirit. Bermuda presented a commemorative plaque to Littleton and gave their players some souvenirs from Bermuda tourism.”
Bermuda got two tries from Antonio Perinchief-Leader and single tries from Ndavyah Williams, Ngarryan Darrell and Tadhg O’Shaughnessy.
The Bermuda team of 24 compromises players from Berkeley, Cedarbridge, MSA, Somersfield, Bermuda Institute, Saltus and overseas schools.
