Video: Wellington Brush Fire Extinguished

The Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service responded to a report of a brush fire today [May.4] at approximately 5:45pm, on a property bordering Wellington Playground in St. George’s.

Firefighters found an area approximately 30ft x 30ft involved in fire and went about laying two water hoses to fight the blaze. Two fire service vehicles attended the scene with approximately six personnel.

Police also attended and ensured the gathered onlookers did not venture too close to the scene. The fire was extinguished and the area was wet down with debris being turned over with a rake to ensure no areas were missed.
