Augustus & Symonds Win Golf Championships
Daniel Augustus and Ann Symonds are the 2012 Bermuda Golf Open Male and Female Champions following the final day’s play yesterday [June 17] which was impacted by inclement weather.
Mr Augustus won the Men’s Professional Division, capturing the winning purse of $4,000.00 with a two Round total of 143, finishing one stroke back was the defending Champion Jordan Mitchell who earned $2,500.00.
Kevin Mumford earned $1,500.00 for his third place finish shooting 149, while John Denny finished T4th along with Dwayne Pearman as they both shot a two Round total of 151 to earn $1,000.00 each.
Ms Symonds walked away with the Amateur Ladies Gross Championship with a two Round total of 178, while Elizabeth Parsons finished second shooting 183 and Katrin Burnie finished third with a two Round total of 184.
Gladys Chambaz won the Gross Senior Ladies title, while the defending Champion Hav Trott retained his Gross Senior Men title. Mitchell Campbell won the Amateur Men Gross Championship by two strokes after scoring 151.
