Traffic Advisory: Queen’s Birthday Parade
The Queen’s Birthday Parade will take place on Front Street in the City of Hamilton at 10am tomorrow [June 9]. As a result, the police said the following traffic restrictions will be in place:
- Road Closures between 4:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
- Point Pleasant Road (Albouy’s Point).
- Road Closures between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon
- Front Street between Court Street and Bermudiana Road.
- Burnaby Street between Reid Street and Front Street.
- Court Street between Reid Street and Front Street.
- Par-La-Ville Road between Front Street and Church Street.
- Junctions giving access to the parade area will be manned and traffic will be prevented from travelling south from those junctions.
- No Parking between 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon
- Front Street between Court Street and Bermudiana Road (both sides).
- Burnaby Street between Reid Street and Front Street.
- Taxis will be permitted to enter Front Street West from the direction of Pitts Bay Road and park on Front Street (north side) between Par-La-Ville Road and Queen Street to pick up passengers and then travel up Queen Street.
- In addition the Bermuda Police Service is authorised to ‘close off’ streets or portions of streets, direct traffic and restrict and authorise parking as the Commissioner of Police decides.
