Denton Hurdle Memorial Award Student Winners
The Bermuda School Sports Federation announced the 27th annual Denton Hurdle Memorial Awards Winners last night [June 19], with 56 students nominated for this year’s awards.
The awards honoring the late Warwick Academy physical education teacher highlights Bermuda’s finest student athletes, and the Minister of Education Dame Jennifer Smith was on hand to present the winners their awards.
This year’s winners were Zekiah Lewis from West Pembroke Primary, Sajan Harvey from Warwick Academy, Eva Frazzoni from Saltus Grammar School, Shannon Botelho from Warwick Academy, Akeila Richardson from CedarBridge Academy and Joshua Malpas from Warwick Academy.
Honorable mention went to Ashley Irby from Saltus Grammar School, Brijette Basden from Francis Patton Primary, Zaarion Darrell from Dalton E.Tucker Primary, Tariq Simons from Purvis Primary, Zakiyya Showers from Sandys Secondary Middle School, Tyler Smith from Somersfield Academy, Rachel Waldron from Saltus Grammar school and Phillip Burgess from CedarBridge Academy.
