46-Year-Old Man Injured In Alleged Assault

A 46-year-old man was injured in what the police referred to as an “alleged assault” last night [July 26] in the Horseshoe Lane Southampton area.

A police spokespersons said: “Around 10:55pm on Thursday, July 26th police attended a report of an alleged assault in the Horseshoe Road, Horseshoe Lane Southampton area, where a 46 year old Southampton man was found lying on the ground injured.

“At last check the victim was being treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for his injuries, which are not considered life threatening.

“Inquiries into this incident are ongoing and any witnesses or anyone with any information, particularly anyone who may have been in the Horseshoe Road, Southampton area around the time of the alleged assault, is encouraged to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.”
