Butterfield Trust Makes Cayman Appointments
Butterfield Trust in the Cayman Islands has appointed Brian Balleine to the position of Senior Vice President and Head of Trust and Gina Nelson to the position of Head of Business Development in the jurisdiction.
Mr. Balleine will lead a team of 26 trust specialists. Ms. Nelson will focus her attention on business development activity in the region.
Mr. Balleine has more than 28 years’ experience in the international offshore financial services industry predominantly in wealth planning, trust and fiduciary administration. He has spent 18 years leading and managing trust businesses in Asia, the Channel Islands and the Caribbean, working with ultra-high net worth families and advisers to establish complex wealth planning solutions.
“Butterfield Trust has a strong reputation for providing bespoke solutions to a wide variety of clients and I am looking forward to applying my knowledge, particularly in terms of Latin and North America, and leading a dynamic team focused on growth,” Mr. Balleine said.
Ms. Nelson qualified as a lawyer in the US and has more than 10 years’ experience in the area of trust and estate planning. She has worked extensively in wealth structuring and in business development in the wealth services arena in North America.
