CultureFest Event Rescheduled Again
The CultureFest “Unity in the Community” event has been rescheduled again, organizers said this morning [July 17]. It was originally slated to take place on June 17th and 18th and was postponed due to the weather. It was then scheduled for July 21st and 22nd. which has now also been postponed.
A statement from the organizers said: “After a request from our hosts, WEDCO, to consider another date, we hereby announce that CultureFest will no longer take place on July 21st & 22nd, 2012. In light of the circumstances WEDCO sends it sincerest apologies to those who have been inconvenienced by our dates being shifted for a second time.
“In keeping with the theme of CultureFest our team has agreed to oblige the requested change and in the interest of working together have now collectively set our sights on the selection of a new date this fall. Special thanks to all the sponsors, vendors and volunteers who have already invested handsomely in the CultureFest program.
“In-spite of this minor adjustment, there is a growing group of individuals and organizations involved with the development of this program who all remain fully committed to ensuring that CultureFest “Unity in the Community” becomes the memorable and unifying experience that our community so desperately needs.”
