Three Sailors In The Top 100 At US Nationals
Ceci Wollmann, Mikey Wollmann and James Amaral all continued taking part in the US National Optimist Championships being held at the Sandusky Sailing Club in Ohio. On day two of sailing, threatening weather once again led to a postponement at the beginning of the day in Sandusky.
Only two races were able to be sailed by the fleet. Ceci Wollmann is in 7th overall after finishes of 6th and 10th in the Red Fleet. Her 18 overall points also has her as the top female sailor.
Mikey Wollmann who recorded a 20th place finish on day one returned and claimed two 7th place finishes on day two sailing in the Blue Fleet that has him in 12th place overall.
Amaral is currently in 75th place overall after recording finishes of 37th, 39th and 20th in the three races sailed in the Red Fleet.
