Tyler Smith Advances In Aruba Tournament

Bermuda’s number one seeded ladies tennis player Tyler Smith won her opening round singles and doubles match on Monday [July 2] during the TIHTA ITF Junior Tennis Tournament in Aruba.

During her singles match Smith defeated Lauren Proctor from the United States in three sets. Smith won the first set 7-5, before Proctor won the second set 6-2 but Smith battled back to win the third and final set 6-4.

Smith then teamed up with Madrie Le Roux from South Africa in the Ladies Doubles and they defeated Ana Sofia Cordero from Peru and Lotte Reek Van from Aruba in straight sets 6-1, 6-0.
