Logic Premier And First Division Weekend Cricket

Logic Premier and First Division cricket continued this weekend with three games being across the island and saw Bailey’s Bay become the 2012 Logic Premier Division Champions.

In the Logic Premier Division, Bailey’s Bay won by 20 runs becoming the 2012 Logic Premier Division Champions. At the Somerset Cricket Club, Willow Cuts won the toss and sent Bailey’s Bay to bat. Bailey’s Bay scored 224/9 in their allotted 50 overs with Irving Romaine the top scorer with 71 while Rodney Trott scored 51. The pair helped Bailey’s Bay to the total as they were at the wicket with the team 113/4 with 15 overs remaining.

Kevin Fubler was the pick of the Willow Cuts bowlers with figures of 10-0-19-2 while George O’Brien bowled 10-2-36-2. In reply, Willow Cuts were bowled all out for 204. Chris Douglas was the top scorer with 51 while Dexter Basden added 50. Dennico Hollis had bowling figures of 8-0-22-2 for Bailey’s Bay while Kyle Hodsoll bowled 6-0-59-2. Final score: Bailey’s Bay 224/9 Willow Cuts 204

Southampton Rangers won by 129 Runs when Cleveland County won the toss at the Sea Breeze Oval and sent the Southampton Rangers to bat. Rangers scored 256/7 in their allotted 50 overs and they were awarded 24 penalty runs as Cleveland County bowled a slow over rate taking their score to 280.

Janeiro Tucker was the top scorer with 104 not out while Dion Stovell added 75. Allan Douglas Jr. returned bowling figures of 10-0-59-4 for Cleveland County. In reply Cleveland County were bowled all out for 151. Aaron Adams was the top scorer with 60 while Douglas Jr. added 24. Gary Crofton led the Southampton Rangers bowling attack with figures of 10-1-63-4 while Dwayne Leverock bowled 4-0-18-3. Final score: Southampton Rangers 280/7 Cleveland County 151

In Logic First Division action, Warwick Workmen’s won by 30 runs at the White Hill Field when they scored 239/9 after batting first. Lionel Cann was their top scorer with 73 while Dwayne Adams added 53. McLaren Smith was the pick of the Somerset Bridge bowlers with figures of 7-1-16-3.

In reply Somerset Bridge were bowled all out for 209. Smith was the top scorer with 40 while Noel Woods added 38. Daniel Caines returned bowling figures of 8-0-34-3 for Warwick Workmen’s. Final score: Warwick Workmen’s 239/9 Somerset Bridge 209
