BEPRO Hosting Upcoming Lunch And Learn
Bermuda’s Emerging Professionals [“BEPRO”], will be holding their latest Lunch N’ Learn at The Bermuda Chamber of Commerce on Thursday [Sept 27] between 12 and 1pm.
The event titled “Let Your Voice Be Heard” will feature guest speaker, Kimberley Caines, who will educate attendees on the fundamentals of public speaking and provide tips and other resources to help guide attendees on their path to becoming powerful public speakers.
Bermudian born and raised, Ms. Caines holds a Bachelor of Arts [Hons.] degree in Women’s Studies and Spanish from the University of Western Ontario. She completed her Law Degree [LL.B. (Hons.] and the Bar Vocational Course at the City Law School in London, England.
Ms. Caines is a member of the Bermuda Bar and the Bar of England and Wales. Ms. Caines currently works as an associate with the law firm, MJM Limited, in the Litigation Department where she practices civil litigation.
In 2009, Ms. Caines was commissioned as a Blackstone Fellow with the Blackstone Legal Fellowship. She is a Toastmaster with the Local Chapter, having achieved the competent communicator award. Most recently, she was the Chairperson of Bermuda’s Emerging Professionals [BEPRO] for the 2011 to 2012 year.
She currently sits on two Government Boards: The Devonshire Parish Council as a Board Member and also chairs their Scholarship Committee; and the Bermuda Women’s Council which assists with the implementation of policies which ensure equality for all members of our community.
A BEPRO spokesperson said, “Needless to say, as a lawyer and with her various extracurricular activities and accomplishments, communicating and public speaking go hand in hand. With that said, BEPRO is proud to have one of their own share their knowledge and experience of public speaking with all.
“We hope that at the conclusion of the presentation all attendees will have the necessary tools to confidently speak in public about any topic.
