  4. Yada Yada Yada says:

When they catch them or if. Tie them up let the victim beat them like they did to him so they know what it feels like. That’s justice. Say what you like but that’s what it is. In order for the victim to get anything out of it he has to take them to civil court. The government fine’s them and we tax payers pay for their a$$e$ in prison..

    • jester says:

them guys must be stupid, there are camera’s all over that place. Why don’t the cops just use the tapes of the camera’s? the best witness is the one who identifies himself as the one on tape…

  6. theothersidebda says:

Tough to find them guilty when no one in a crowded bar, including the victim, will remember anything. I’m fairly certain this is the last you’ll hear of this one…

    • eye on you says:

Fortunately, the place is loaded with cameras just like Docksiders is.
A picture is worth a thousand words! Video tape is worth a million words! Lock these punks up for a long long time and put them in cells with their enemies so they can be beaten every day.

      • theothersidebda says:

Yeah but when the defense lawyer calls the victim to the stand and he can’t (or won’t) positively ID the perp, then what? Reasonable doubt. Wasn’t me your honour….must have been my cousin.

        • ISland Gyal says:

Actually smart arse he DOES know what the guys look like.

          • theothersidebda says:

Gee ya think? The point being he WON’T seem to recall when asked on the witness stand. That’s assuming he is willing to take the witness stand, which he probably won’t. Didn’t even report it to the police at the time.

So i guess everybdy should already know who repsonsible the infamous P.S punks…sure these are the kinds of things they do down there and i beleive some the security guards are afraid of them too

  10. No Surprise Here.... says:

They say there is strength in numbers….so strip them down one by one and take ‘em all down. They are only following (followers) the PS ring leader(s). If you cut off a snake’s head it dies, but keep chopping it up till its distroyed once and for all. Enough of these little boys recking havoc on our shores for no apparent reason. They seem to believe their is no value to anyone’s life so why should we (law-abiding citzens) give a rats arse about theirs. F%$k’em all – they should all go straight to HELL!!!

If nothing comes out of this, then we all will know for sure that there is corruption deep within the justice system as someone(s)is covering for these punks.

  11. U would think the fool who did was throwin around money! GO BUY YA OWN IDIOT! When the guy turned around 2 do somethin about the fella backed off and his friends pulled him away! It was until they saw him outside by himself the group (PSC) set upon him and beat him up! They cant fight thats why they need to gang up on him! Typical from PSC boys livin in a FANTASY WORLD!

  12. Rick Olson says:

The BPS were in first thing in the morning and the tape was good as the attack happened right at the bar and the victim was sucker punched from behind. The attacker was due in court the next morning for another crime and was ensured a jail sentence so I guess ge figured he had nothing to lose ?
Yes we have lots of camera’s and 3 security men on busy nights like the night of the attack. We run a very clean business but unfortsntly being the only bar open at times we attract and unwanted element especially since Court Street contracted a few years ago. We our changing our hours replaced DJ some nights for elevator music to keep out the late night scum so sad.
We are doing our part and welcome any assistance and greatly appreciate the support received from the BPS we will bend for the safety of our staff and patrons but will not back down from these cowardly punks.

    • theothersidebda says:

Thanks for the update Rick. It seems to me that this is not the first time these ‘guys’ have frequented your establishment and they are seemingly well known by their antics. Serious question: does your establishment have the right to refuse to serve patrons or is that considered illegal to deny service? Even if you have to serve them, couldn’t you immediately notify BPS for them to send down some plain clothed officers? Even if they are not doing anything wrong at that time, I’m sure the pure annoyance of constantly being followed by police will deter them from wanting to frequent your establishment. Also, I’m a bit surprised to hear there was 3 security guards on duty at the time of the attack. I can understand not being able to control a sucker punch, but shouldn’t they be able to spot and assist once a group of guys set upon this individual?

      • Rick Olson says:

We are exremly busy on a Tuesday Night as our DJ for the night has a big following and we don’t really get busy until after midnight even though we are open to 3am we closed after this outburst which was over before it really started as all parties scattered to avoid our security and eventually the police. We often deny people entry but we need a valid reason such as intoxication or dress code. We do not want any gang members but tha,t is often hard to distinguish and this week I have changed security companies who I hope will do a better job of identifying the difference of good and bad customers and STAND STRONG.
Doing security is a diffacult job in Bermuda and they earn every penny they get paid . We do have a good relationship with the BPS but during the week their man power is limited as most resources our for the weekend on Front Street when we look like we our goverened by a police state.
My solution change security , reduce hours, and a different music policey which disappoints many but seems to be a must ? Good Bermudians lose hours in the short term but hopefully by being careful we can rebuild without the scumbags. Problem is many people don’t want the hassle of going out especially couples and females so the business pool gets smaller and more bars and clubs will fail especially now that we are in the off season . Without a cruise shop in town next year and likely never this is no reason to reinvest and of course expect more forced closures !!

They should treat this like a shooting 5-8 years and they must do full time.
