I would like to know when they will be re-screening” THE COLOR OF FEAR” which is a very powerful documentary which probably should take place in Bermuda amongst various ethnic groups and whites, an honest open dialogue televised needs to take place. CURBs objective to uproot racism must start with the whites admitting their superior complex and listening to blacks reaction to that superiority.. In order for a solution to take place there must be confrontation of the issue to get a resolution..I hope to hear much more from CURB on their agenda because there is a lot of information out there that NEEDS to be seen and heard..The Big Conversation can get as Big as we allow it to be.

    • Nanny Pat says:

Are you being serious? Certainly you are being sarcastic. No one can be stupid enough to really think like that. Right?

      • Come Correct says:

Its just another plp blogger, changing names but too dumb to realize, right Meow?

        • status! says:

@come correct—-What makes you think I am too dumb to realize that I change my name..Your Superior white attitude?
I’m no longer swinging from chandoliers @$$hole! I made a nice landing…Why don’t you try and come correct!Obviously the side pic stays the same ..DUH

      • status! says:

@Nanny Pat—-You probably don’t think certain people can actually have a thought process different from your own, which makes you stupid..real intelligence would require one to apply critical thinking. If you really want to appear intelligent you might have inquired about the movie!, or why exactly does CURB exists.. If you don’t want to talk to blacks than call Lynne Whitefield, she may be able to explain to you better, about how quite a lot of people both black and white feel about racism and its origin. White people owe everything to blacks! Why do you think Europeans went around the world starting wars and stealing other peoples cultures? they had no culture of their own and were barbaric and uncivilized!Always taking by force!Always thinking they have THE only answers because they have the wealth! The reign is almost over!

    • Keturah says:

How do whites act superior? I don’t think it’s a trait particular to one race. I’m not trying to attack here so please don’t take it as such. I just think that some people are jerks and always will be and others are nice, of any ethnic origin. I genuinely would like to understand where you are coming from. What I see in the island is race being confused with personalities and circumstances and people not being able to tell the difference anymore.

  2. really... says:

because it’s all the faults of the white person……I’m sick of this.

    70% Black population
    Black majority government
95% of government employees are black
Nothing can happen in Bermuda unless it has been approved by the black government.
And a black created group called (ironically) CURE, to tell the white people how bad we are.
The whites need to listen……We are. What we are hearing is hatred. How can a white person hold out their hand when the hand across from them is clenched and ready to punch.
Come together? Absolutely we need to. First the whites need to admit their superiority complex?! You lost me. I work for a living. I struggle to make ends meet. Who am I suggesting I’m superior to? Certainly no one in government. They have all the money and security.
I think you need to re-think this approach.

      Well said

    • status! says:

@really–you are probably hearing hatred cos thats all you are about. First if you read properly it is CURB not Cure. Secondly Whites as a collective group are the oppressors of our system and so unfortunately for you no matter how hard you work you will be guilty by association..If you bother to attend any CURB meetings or Chewstick wednesday night meetings(6-8) maybe you can learn about the percieved white superiority! I don’t need you to extend any hand to me as a black person. Just extend an open ear to what is being challenged here and why CURB actually exist! Your superior complex doesn’t allow you to think about anyone else but yourself! Learn something about Black history before you make comments about your trifling struggle.

    CURB. Fail.

    ENOUGH SAID

    • status! says:

@Dantes Inferno——-Your mere name suggest where you are. thats EPIC! What does Wayne Furburt have to do with the multitude of sins that Whites have to answer to! Is it hot enough yet!

      • Keturah says:

As far as racial issues go in Bermuda I feel that people read race into everything here. Have a preference for working in a quiet environment? Ooh racist. Don’t appreciate inconsiderate people (in general, not by race)? Oh you are racist and telling black people how to act. prefer going to the beach instead of the parade? Racist. I could go on but it’s too depressing.
