Slideshow: Wind & Kite Surfers At Shelly Bay
While today’s [Dec 30] less than inviting weather conditions may have caused many locals to stay indoors, a few headed for the beach to take advantage of the high winds, with both wind and kite surfers seen out today on Shelly Bay Beach in Hamilton parish.
The conditions prompted the Bermuda Weather Service to issue a Gale Warning, which remains in effect until Monday. Forecasters said gale force winds will remain behind the front into Monday, when high pressure begins to build from the west. They expect dry weather but strong winds to persist through New Years Day and beyond.
